New restrictions for use of certain reconditioned equipment
Definitions
Reconditioned Equipment: Electromechanical systems, equipment, apparatus, or components that are restored to operating conditions. This process differs from normal servicing of equipment that remains within a facility, or replacement of listed equipment on a one-to-one basis
The Code: Section 210.15 Reconditioned Equipment
The following shall not be reconditioned:
(1) Equipment that provides ground-fault circuit-interrupter (GFCI) protection for personnel
(2) Equipment that provides arc-fault circuit-interrupter (AFCI) protection
(3) Equipment that provides ground-fault protection (GFP) of equipment
